I had a great time, every Tuesday of October, in Junk Shop. Only few girls on course, so didn't have to compromise so much. That was fun and inspiring. Our tutor was girl who had experience with plenty of fashion projects, so she could share with us some industry secrets! We were preparing our own photoshoot for three weeks, to make it done on 4th meeting. Started with discussion about recent trends, we worked together on all concepts, from making moodboards and props use, to model's poses.
Our common idea was androgyny, together with 40s' style and atmosphere (during that time, crossdressing parties were forbidden and people who got busted could loose their jobs and go to jail like criminals). Our inspiration was short movie Private Life about these times and Helmut Newton's photos from Paris from Woman Into Man Series from 1975.

So, we had amazing old stairs in Junk Shop's basement, we had projector to project some images and we had interesting dark alleys all around us. We had idea to show boyish girl, powerful and strong, but still beutiful and feminine in the same time. We made garlands made of black (well, paintbrushed on black) paper woman's symbol and prepared articles for newspaper in 40s' and in modern style. I edited everything in Photoshop, so it looked like that in reality (it will be projected as backgrounds after):
...and after, we were ready to start shooting! We had fab photographer from Fashion Photography Course in Salford Uni and talented make-up and hair stylists- twin sisters, who even had indetical outfits (from toe to top!). And very easy going and beautful model, she was perfect fo this role, her gaze was exactly like I expected! So, here are some results. Hope I will get more pics soon, and certificate, to be fully happy.
